-jeju part 2-

i didnt get to see the blood red flowers on the crater..since it's the dead halfway transition season from spring to summer..and as soon as my parents reached the top, we took a few photos and my brother and father sped down the mountain with all the cameras... -.- and i couldnt take anymore pictures..i found a post card shot loh!!! but they were so eager to get off the mountain for some reason and took off with all 3 cameras... 2 person, 3 cameras... -.- and the rest of the tour group were still up at the top.

We went to the Cheonjiyeon waterfall next (all the places are very difficult to spell..im juz following the itinery's spelling, so spell wrongly not my fault huh) it's not those kind of big impressive waterfalls, but the small beautiful kind..

and the water is soooooooooooooo blue lorr.. u'll never get that in singapore unless you mix blue dye with tap water.. pictures!!

my bro walking out to the rocks...will he slip and fall???

no....

there are lots of stories of stuff being turned to stone over there.. haha..coz there are lots of volcanic stones with wierd shapes... eg Yongduam (Dragon Head Rock)--some naughty dragon turned to stone. no pics here, but it's in the video..which i dunno when im gonna put up..also took a video of a squirming octopus there.. not any old squirming octopus mind u... a chopped up one with all the bits and pieces of tentacles squirming around enthusiastically... (oops..'enthusiastic' is such a wrong word..but it describes the action perfectly!!) too bad my father only filmed it after a long time when it turned sluggish..coz he said he forgot.......

wait a minute!! why is this poor octopus chopped up in the first place, u ask? It couldnt solely be for the viewing pleasure of the evil biyun could it???

--re-enactment--
(in words)

海婆婆 pulls octopus out from a plastic basin on the ground. *ploploplop..bbbrrrrraaaapp* (sounds of tentacle suckers being pulled off the sides of the basin) ok im exaggerating..i didnt hear that. but you can imagine the suckers making those sound effects..

海婆婆 rinses octopus in another tub of water *shakeshakeshake (in the water)

*splat...on the chopping board...
*chopchopchopchopchopchopchopchop
*squirmsquirmsquirmsquirmsquirm

海婆婆 scrapes octopus pieces off chopping board, onto plate, pour sesame oil on top..

Biyun: munchmunchmunch

you need to chew the tentacle once u put it into your mouth..dun swallow it whole or the suckers will stick to the side of your throat..hahhahah.. eh im not joking.. it's very chewy..like rubber.. the dining experience was very interesting..we were all sitting on little plastic stools on the volcanic rocks beside the sea, and had overturned water tubs as tables..it's an open area...aiyah..no photos...

btw the 海婆婆s used to be 海姑娘s, but nobody wants to go into this profession now lah..so all old women...dun 小看 them ok? they can dive underwater for a long long time to catch seafood without any underwater breathing equipment...

oh oh..i must say something about the hotel before i end this post...reallly super nice!!! u'll like royalty!! esp the toilet!! i will post some pics when i get it from my cousin... Lotte Hotel jeju... :D:D MUST stay there if u go jeju。
