Huijun and lixiang: please lah...i endanger the animals.. more like the animals endanger me loh...there's only ONE biyun ok...and the retarded cat keep bullying me..

i saw alot of things there liao..only after 3 days somemore...lots of surgeries..eye surgeries, castrations, spaying, removing haemorrhage clots from a swollen ear flap (this was the bloodiest... blood was collecting in the ear flaps of a beagle..the doc slit it open and all the blood juz gushed out..dripping all over..)

but the saddest was this lagi old dog i think 14 years old...which is almost the max average lifespan of a dog..he has a history of health problems..wad wad tumour lah, bladder dunno wad lah..n so old liao still need operation..poor thing.

actually he was suspected of having a hernia and has his bladder entrapped, but after cutting him open, the bladder was found to be in an extremely bad shape..it was hard and full of pus..and pus wad oozing out from every orifice...after all the pus was squeezed out, half the bladder had to be cut off since it was so overstretched and totally useless..and as the doc described...已经烂掉了。

after cutting and stitching and many exchanges with the owner about the multiple complications and additional charges and whether she wants to continue with the operation...there was one more complication...the bladder (and a piece of fat) cant be stuffed back inside (ive got a picture of it...the doc took it for a report.. but i guess i shudnt post...). she stuffed her fingers in and felt around more and found some lumps (suspected tumours). cannot save liao lah..u think an old dog can stand the tumours being cut out? cut so many things out liao leh..it was originally a simple operation of repositioning the bladder..but turned out to be so complicated..

the doc talked to the owners..and they decided to euthanise him..

damn sad lah..after the dog woke up after the operation, he cudnt walk--was dragging the hind legs around..no doubt there's alot of pain, but he looked bright n alive n active...(even happy i suspect)...i dunno..but i think that dog is not ready to die, and doesn't want to die yet..i thot i was a pro-euthanasia person..die fast, less suffering...but im not so sure now.. esp when it comes to who holds the power to decide whether something lives or dies..

i saw the owners sharing their last moment with the dog..the wife was crying and talking to the dog and the dog looked so happy (i think) seeing them...aiyah dunno wad i was feeling dat time..pretty confusing feelings..2 sides of my brain arguing back and forth..

had a pretty interesting case today too..well not so much interesting as disgusting..haha.

this german shepherd had a wound full of maggots...damn smelly. the opening of the wound is about 2cm, but the actual wound was a huge pocket around the opening...full of maggots..so have to dig around picking out the maggots one by one...

ahhhh..can go on forever..irresponsible, siao owners, illegal pets coming in (more ethical issues), and the resident cat and retarded cat haahahah..next time bah..

in case ur thinking why this biyun got so much time today...i had a nap after work (dat's the good thing about working below HDB flats..got 2nd storey flat for u to sleep..yayy)finished my basic theory evaluation damn early today..so have time and energy to bum around online..
